Fellowship
SPILF and Stanford Law are pleased to announce that they are partnering to fund
the Second Annual SPILF-Stanford Law School Public Interest Fellowship.
The Application Deadline is February 2, 2009, and we will select a recipient by March 2, 2009.
The fellowship will be awarded to a member of the graduating class or to a recent SLS graduate. It will fund the recipient's salary and benefits for his or her work at a nonprofit that provides legal services to underrepresented communities or otherwise serves the public interest. Compensation for the 2009-10 year will be $45,000 plus benefits the recipient's sponsor would ordinarily provide to an employee at the recipient's level and a free BarBri course in the state of the recipient's choice.
Please note that each applicant must be sponsored by a 501(c)(3) organization that provides legal services for underrepresented communities or otherwise serves the public interest. All members of the SLS Classes of 2004-09 are eligible to apply. Please direct questions to Alexa Van Brunt, SPILF Vice President of Fellowship, at spilffellowship@gmail.com .
